PT PLN, Indonesia’s national electric utility, selected PT PAL earlier in 2008 to be the prime contractor for the design, supply, construction, installation and commissioning of the Ulumbu Geothermal Power Project.
The Ulumbu geothermal field is located 11 km to the south of Ruteng, the capital of Western Flores, in the Kabupaten (Regency) Manggarai, Flores Island, in the East Nusa Tenggara Province of Indonesia.
