Oserian Plant Commissioned
GDA is proud to announce that the 2 MW geothermal plant at Oserian Farms (Lake Naivasha, Kenya) was successfully commissioned on November 30, 2007. GDA designed and manufactured the plant, which utilizes an Elliott steam turbine and Kato generator.
The new plant uses steam supplied by KenGen from Well 202. The plant operates in parallel with an existing 2 MW Ormat binary plant installed by Oserian in 2005. Together these plans supply nearly all of the electrical power requirements at Oserian Farms.
Oserian Development Company is one of the largest flower producers in Kenya and is responsible for exporting approximately 400 million flower to Europe annually.
